Roam with your QCell line and never leave it behind.

Travel around the world with your QCell SIM Card and stay connected with business associates, friends and loved ones.

QCell has over 230 roaming partners around the world and is continuously establishing new partners. Roaming is available for both Post-paid and prepaid customers.

  • Before Travelling: Check with our customer care on 111 to ensure that roaming is activated on your line, if not you can request for the service at no cost.
  • Upon Arrival: Your phone will automatically connect to one of the local networks. If this doesn’t happen, you can manually search for a network in the ‘Settings’ menu on your phone.

 

To use QCell Roaming Service:

For Prepaid users, simply recharge your account adequately to the amount you want to use while roaming. Customers can also conveniently recharge their QCell SIM cards by travelling with recharge cards as well as receiving e-recharge (fatt-fatt) from family and friends in The Gambia. Customers can call Customer Care on 111 for activation.

Post-paid users who do not currently have roaming service are required to pay a security deposit of D5, 000 before embarking on their trip in order to access the roaming service.

On arrival, turn on your mobile phone on or restart it in order for the Sim card to automatically detect a default network. However, you may also manually select the network you want to roam with. Postpaid customers can enjoy data roaming whilst abroad. However, we advise that data be turned off when not in use to avoid incurring additional charges.
